Calm & Collected in 2 min

How is your heart feeling and your breath flowing today? 💜 When my breath & heart feel frazzled or contracted I use this little tool/ritual/”thing” to get grounded again:

• Stop somewhere for 2 minutes, this could be your desk, the washroom, a stairwell, as long as you feel secure.
• Press your hands heavy over your heart, or your eyes, or wrap your arms around yourself or wherever is going to feel most grounding.
• Then breathe – slowly, making sure your belly relaxes & expands with the breath; until you feel like your lungs can’t expand anymore; pause into that feeling, then exhale.  3 breaths like this. Then 5 breaths slow, deep and even to calm.

Locate the massage pressure point on your thumbnail. You’ll find it on the outside lower corner of your nail. This will be a different side depending on which thumb you are using. On the right thumb nail, it is located on the lower left. On the left thumb nail, it is located on the lower right. Give gentle pressure or massage here. The pressure point is tied to the brain and it is said to help relieve negative emotions.
